The location is in the most beautiful Centro storico, 20 metres from the Spanish Steps in a pedestrian zone, and the landlady lives next door. Thanks to high-speed trains, day trips to the surrounding area are also possible when returning to the flat in the evening. Train time to Florence 90 minutes, to Naples 65 minutes. A day trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius is also possible. Bicycle and moped hire nearby. Ideal for families or two couples of friends, and also for internet and iPhone users
The sunny, well-kept 200 square metre roof terrace with many roses, lemon and orange trees, bougainvillea and fragrant lavender plants has a magnificent 360 degree view over Rome. It is located one floor above the holiday flat and is equipped with patio furniture and sun loungers for guests to relax on. The sunset with a view over Rome and St Peter's Basilica is a special experience. On New Year's Eve in Rome, the panorama from the picturesque roof terrace is unique. At midnight, you can see the fireworks from all over Rome.
The 72 square metre flat is located on the 6th floor directly below the 200 square metre roof terrace, in one of the most important and elegant buildings in the city with boutiques and offices of the famous Italian fashion house Valentino on the lower floors. Lift access is available via another staircase in the building complex, then up and down a flight of stairs, and assistance is available with luggage transport. The rooms have large windows with double glazing and walls over four metres high, quiet location with morning sun. The furnishings are modern and functional. All rooms have parquet flooring. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The second bedroom has a luxury combination from the Italian bed company Flou with two single beds with comfortable orthopaedic mattresses and pull-out function. A cot can be provided on request. There is also a lounge with a sofa bed. The bathrooms are elegant, one has a whirlpool shower. The kitchen area has a fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and toaster. The dining area is separate. A safe is built into a wall cupboard. Well heated in winter, well cooled in summer, with environmentally friendly air conditioning units. Satellite TV with many German, Italian and English channels, free WLAN, washing machine, brand new dishwasher with special hygiene programme. Some US sockets are available.

All around lots of art, museums and Rome's most elegant shopping streets such as Via dei Condotti, restaurants of all kinds, supermarkets. Five minutes on foot to the marvellous Villa Borghese city park and the Trevi Fountain, sights for children too. Two minutes to the underground and three minutes to bus stops. Three metro stops to St Peter's Basilica, three to Termini Central Station, 15 minutes on foot to the Colosseum. Good connections to Ciampino and Fiumicino airports. Bikes for hire, taxi rank next door. Nice cafés and restaurants in historic squares and in front of sights. Mostly nice weather, with few rainy days. Christmas and New Year's Eve are very varied in Rome. Big sales, high discounts even in luxury boutiques, from around 10 July and 7 January for several weeks.
Lift and flat are not wheelchair accessible, lift access is possible via another staircase in the building complex, then up and down a flight of stairs, help is available with luggage transport.
