Cosy, natural wooden house with children's playground and wonderful views, located directly on the Mandalselva river. This cosy wooden house is located in the village of Holum. It is situated directly on the river Mandalselva, which is known for its abundance of salmon. You will not only be amazed by the location and the beautiful view. With a bit of luck, you may also spot deer, which have been seen several times right in front of the house. Moose live in the forest nearby.
The 130 m² house is designed for eight people. On the first floor there is a large, well-equipped kitchen (new in 2007) with dishwasher, fridge, freezer and induction hob as well as a bathroom with shower cubicle, two washbasins, toilet and bidet. Furthermore, on the first floor you have the living room and a large bedroom with a double bed. Three further bedrooms on the second floor, two large and one small, are each furnished with a double bed. All beds are 150 cm wide. It is also possible to add extra mattresses or children's beds in three of the bedrooms. The house is heated by a heat pump and wood. Because it is a wooden house, no central heating is required. The heat simply spreads through the house. Firewood is available free of charge.
Wifi is available free of charge.
On the property you have an open garden parlour with a fireplace, wood-burning oven and garden furniture, where you can sit and relax in front of the fire in the evening. The wood-burning oven can be used by guests; firewood is available free of charge. Behind the house there is a great children's playground with a slide, children's swings and a cool playhouse, and the property is not fenced in. However, pets can still be brought along. Dogs can be kept on a lead. However, they must be sufficiently vaccinated to be allowed into Norway
Your hostess speaks fluent German and English. Her husband speaks English.
Cross the road with little traffic and you can go fishing on the riverbank (with "Fiskekort" and "Statskort", which are available in season at the petrol station Møll Bensinstasjon) or go swimming. There is a grocery shop and petrol station two kilometres from the house. In the town of Mandal, eight kilometres away, you can get everything you need for your stay. The old harbour town of Mandal offers great beaches, fish shops, cafés and restaurants. Cosy cobbled streets invite you to stroll around. Various boats can also be hired in Mandal. The narrow, cosy alleyways with their small, charming shops offer a special experience. The children's farm "Lindland Gård" is six kilometres away. There is also the large water park "Aquarama" and the leisure and animal park "Dyreparken" in Kristiansand, 37 kilometres away
