The location is an excellent starting point for day trips to places of scenic, cultural and artistic interest. A few kilometres to the south is Syracuse (30 km), with its Greek wonders, continuing on you can find baroque treasures such as Noto (55 km), Ragusa Ibla, Marzamemi (80 km), Modica (100 km), the necropolis of Pantalica, Palazzolo Acreide (35 km) the natural oases of Simeto and Vendicari. Heading north, on the other hand, you will arrive directly at the historic centre of Catania (30 km), a city full of ferment with its movida, its shopping and its Baroque churches and palaces. Continuing along the Ionian coast, you will encounter seaside villages such as Acitrezza with its Faraglioni rocks, Acicastello, Acireale and Taormina (80 km). You will be less than 30 minutes away from museums, nature reserves such as the stupendous Etna Park (60 km), and many typical restaurants where you can try the delicacies of Sicilian cuisine.
